RECENT REPRESENTATIONS

The Defence Force Welfare Association addresses policy issues on behalf of members by making representations to Government. Some of these representations are joint submissions, especially with SCOA.

Recent important representations, letters and press releases are:

June 2008

DFWA submission to the inquiry being conducted by the Defence Sub-Committee of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade into “claims for compensation from former F-111 deseal/reseal workers including the Commonwealth’s response to the health and support needs of former F-111 Deseal/Reseal workers and their families.”

 The issues revolve around an employer’s long term responsibilities for the occupational health and safety of employees.
